Candice Pillay focuses on commercial litigation, with emphasis on insurance law, medical negligence, medical malpractice, public liability, and claims against the state. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants.
Being passionate about access to justice and empowerment, Candice has been involved in pro bono work for many years. She has assisted the following projects:

She is the chairperson of the Teddy Bear Clinic for Sexually Abused Children and co-developed their award-winning court preparation programme for children giving evidence in court.
She represented the South African National Traders Association in Johannesburg and succeeded in the Constitutional Court in obtaining an interdict to prevent them from being arbitrarily removed from the City.
Candice obtained an interdict to prevent the City of Johannesburg from developing Alexandra until a land claims dispute had been settled on behalf of the Alexandra Property Owners Association.
