Kobus de Beer specialises in general and commercial litigation.
A substantial part of his practice focuses on real estate disputes, acting for property developers, property management companies and other role players in the construction and real estate sector.
With his practical construction related experience and involvement in property development he provides legal advice and representation on a wide variety of complex corporate-commercial matters, including contractual disputes, commercial tenancy matters, commercial and large-scale residential evictions, as well as real estate and construction-related litigation. Acting for management agents, body corporates and trustees, he assists in building rehabilitations and body corporate health and financial planning.
He is the court appointed Administrator in terms of the Sectional Tile Schemes Management Act to manage and rehabilitate a building in Johannesburg CBD (Maboneng) consisting of 200 residential units, a hotel, and 10 commercial unit.
Appointed by the Minister of Human Settlements for a period of 3 years as one of seven of the Community Scheme Ombud Service advisory council member as provided for in terms of the Sectional Title Schemes Management Act.
