Our criteria

We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Are currently enrolled for an LLB degree at a recognised South African university.

  • Have a strong academic record with a minimum average of 65%.

  • Are team players – able to work with colleagues effectively and efficiently.

  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Have the highest work ethic, with a client-centric focus.

Our firm is made up of SWANS, which is what we’re looking for in all candidate attorneys who join our firm. A SWAN is someone who’s SMART, WORKS HARD, is AMBITIOUS and NICE.


Because we believe, to be a good fit for our firm, you shouldn’t only have the right legal qualifications, but you should also be the right person. So, are you a SWAN?


If you meet the above criteria and are shortlisted, you will be invited for a one-day assessment and interview. This will consist of a panel interview and a presentation; and you will be required to submit a completed research task at the end of the assessment programme. 
Successful candidates will be offered a place in our two-year practical vocational training programme.
